'Dr. Abrashkin is the National Medical Director for Prospero Plus, Prospero Health.
Prior to joining Prospero Health, Dr. Abrashkin served as the Medical Director of the Northwell Health House Calls program and the Northwell Health Nurse Clinical Call Center. House Calls has consistently been a top-performer nationally in Medicare's Independence at Home demonstration project; the Clinical Call Center was the second nurse call center worldwide to achieve accreditation through the prestigious International Academies of Emergency Dispatch in 2017.
A board certified internist, Dr. Abrashkin spent several years as a hospitalist at the Mount Sinai Medical Center and, since transitioning from that position in 2012, has spent the entirety of her clinical career
providing home-based medical care in downstate New York.
Dr. Abrashkin has worked extensively with novel emergency medical services roles such as mobile integrated healthcare/community paramedicine and has studied and presented nationally on program
outcomes. She has also published on the use of telehealth in home-based medical care, and on the impact of enrollment in home-based medical care programs on hospital utilization during the COVID-19
pandemic.
Dr. Abrashkin received a BS in biochemistry and a BM in violin performance from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and received her medical degree from the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. She completed her internal medicine residency at the Mount Sinai Medical Center.'
