BIO

Dr. Major is Assistant Professor in Pediatrics at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. She practices at Cohen Children's Medical Center in the Division of Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics where she specializes in the care of children with developmental and behavioral disorders. Dr. Major is the co-director of the Cardiac Neurodevelopmental Clinic which provides ongoing neurodevelopmental follow-up for children with complex congenital heart disease. Dr. Major also serves as the director of resident and medical student education for the Division of Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics. Dr. Major earned her bachelor's degree in the Biological Basis of Behavior from the University of Pennsylvania. She received her medical degree from Stony Brook School of Medicine in 2003. She completed her pediatric residency at Weill Cornell Medical School/New York Presbyterian Hospital in 2006 and her fellowship in developmental-behavioral pediatrics at Einstein School of Medicine/Children's Hospital at Montefiore in 2009.
