Dr Krishnasastry graduated from Guntur Medical College in India in 1973. He did his General Surgery residency at Booth Memorial/ NYU and completed in 1982. He is Certified In General Surgery, Vascular Surgery and Surgical Critical Care. He is recertified in these specialities. He is involved in surgical resident training and Education both at New York Hospital Queens and Northwell. He had faculty appointments at NY Weill Cornell and AECOM. His proudest moments are being sire director for NY Weill Cornell Vascular Surgery Fellowship, being nominated The Best Teacher in Surgery multiple times, Award being named ( Krishnasastry Teaching award ) and recognized by the Fellows and residents yearly for teaching, recognized by Zucker Hofstra Northwell students for teaching, being part of the Admissions Committee at the School and being part of the A&P committee. He is proud of being a Professor of Surgery at ZSOM and appointed to be in charge of Surgical Education and Vice Chairman g
