BIO

Malini George, MD is an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. She is a physician board-certified in family medicine and obesity medicine who actively practices clinical medicine while serving in physician leadership roles within value-based and home-based primary care models.

Dr. George practices comprehensive, relationship-based primary care and values continuity with patients across adulthood. Her clinical and leadership work centers on delivering patient-centered care for medically complex and older adults, with a focus on obesity medicine, preventive care, and chronic disease management. She has experience developing clinical workflows, mentoring providers, and supporting population health initiatives aimed at improving quality and care coordination.

She has been actively involved in medical education since 2018, precepting first-year medical students from the Zucker School of Medicine in the clinical setting and emphasizing whole-person, patient-centered care. She is also deeply committed to service and has participated in multiple international medical mission trips.

Dr. George completed her family medicine residency at the Rush University Medical Center. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from Ross University School of Medicine and her Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York at Albany.
