Charit Taneja, MD is a board-certified endocrinologist at Northwell Health and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. He received his medical degree from Maulana Azad Medical College, University of Delhi in India. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in New York followed by a fellowship in endocrinology and metabolism at the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. Dr. Taneja's clinical practice is dedicated to the management of thyroid disorders. His academic interests include personalized management of patients with thyroid nodules and thyroid cancer. He is an active member of the Northwell Cancer Institute and aspires to provide comprehensive multidisciplinary care for thyroid cancer patients, collaborating closely with thyroid/head and neck surgeons, nuclear medicine specialists, radiation and medical oncologists. His research interests include molecular testing of thyroid nodules and radioiodine use in thyroid cancer management. He has published several research articles in the field of thyroid disease and is actively involved in teaching and mentoring medical residents and fellows.
