BIO
Jeff Boyd, PhD, is a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. He is also VP and Chief Scientific Officer, and Director of the Center for Genomic Medicine at the Northwell Health Cancer Institute. Additionally, he serves as Director of the Institute of Cancer Research at the Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research at Northwell Health. Prior, Dr. Boyd has held faculty and/or executive positions at the Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine at Florida International University and the Miami Cancer Institute of Baptist Health South Florida, the Fox Chase Cancer Center, the Memorial University Medical Center and Mercer University School of Medicine at Savannah, the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, the University of Pennsylvania, and the National Institutes of Health.
Dr. Boyd received his doctoral degree from North Carolina State University in 1986, and completed postdoctoral training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the National Institutes of Health.
His research interests have long been in the genetics of gynecologic and breast cancers, and his clinical focus is in cancer molecular diagnostics and genomic medicine.
