BIO
Dr. Karpeh received his Medical Doctor's degree in 1983 form the Pennsylvania State University Medical Colleges in Hershey PA. He went on to complete his General Surgical Training at the University of Pennsylvania and later a Surgical Oncology Fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Karpeh has published extensively on topic related to cancer of the stomach and gastroesophageal junction. He was Cancer Center Director at Stony Brook University Medical Center in 2006 and now serves as the Director of Surgical Oncology for Northwell Health's Eastern Region. He is also now Chair of Surgery at Huntington Hospital after serving as Chair of Surgery at Hackensack Meridian Health Hackensack University medical Center (2014-2019) and Chair of Surgery Mt Sinai Beth Israel Medical Center (2007-2014).
