Dr. Ivan Palacios Holds a M.D from Universidad Central del Ecuador. He also has a Masters degree in Public Administration with an emphasis on Health Administration from University of New Mexico, Dr. Palacios has worked for more than 30 years on Public Health study design and program implementation in several countries including Ecuador, the Dominican Republic, Guyana, Haiti, Nicaragua, Guatemala, El Salvador, Perú, Mexico, Bolivia and Kenya. Since 2015, he has worked as Assistant Professor of Universidad San Francisco de Quito where he teaches public health to first, third and final year medical school students. He further contributes as the Global Health Director and, since 2018, serves as Hofstra/Northwell's Adjunct Clinical Professor of Science Education.
