BIO
David Dayya, DO, PhD, MPH is Associate Professor in Surgery at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. He practices at Phelps Hospital Northwell Health in the Department of Surgery, Division of Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine. Dr. Dayya received his medical degree and doctorate from the University of Medicine and Dentistry. He completed residency training in Primary Care and Family Medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ and the New York Institute of Technology. Dr. Dayya is the Associate Medical Director in the Division of Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine where he oversees clinical, teaching, and research operations for the Department of Surgery - Division of Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine. He is also the Medical Director of New England Healthcare. Dr. Dayya has over 25 years of clinical, and research experience. He is active in research as an investigator in Wound Care, Undersea and Hyperbaric medicine, and Environmental Toxicology. Dr. Dayya earned his bachelor's degree from Rutgers, the State University of NJ, and his graduate degrees including his Master’s and PhD degrees from the University of Connecticut. Dr Dayya is proud to have served medically underserved communities through both the National Health Service and the Indian Health Service. He has been recognized for clinical excellence and physician teacher of the Year.
